Isabel <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se han estudiado una serie de factores gen\u00e9ticos (polimorfismos de genes de citoquinas) e inmunol\u00f3gicos en pacientes con esclerosis m\u00faltiple, poblaci\u00f3n sana y tambi\u00e9n se han relacionado con las formas evolutivas de la enfermedad (formas recurrentes-remitentes, progresivas primarias, progresivas secundarias y recurrentes-progresivas). Los polimorfismos de genes de citoquinas estudiados son: tnfalfa(-308), tnfbeta(+249), tgfbeta1 (codon 10 y 2,5), ifny (+874), il-6(-174) e il-10(-1082), tambi\u00e9n se han determinado los niveles s\u00e9ricos de los siguientes factores solubles: il-12 (p40), il-10, ifny e icam-1, adem\u00e1s de relacionar los factores gen\u00e9ticos e inmunol\u00f3gicos entre s\u00ed.  no se han encontrado diferencias en ning\u00fan marcador gen\u00e9tico entre el grupo de pacientes y la poblaci\u00f3n control; sin embargos s\u00ed se han encontrado diferencias al comparar las distintas formas evolutivas entre s\u00ed, especialmente en los polimorfismos del tnfalfa y tnfbeta: la presencia aislada del alelo 2 del tnfalfa y del alelo1 del tnfbeta suponen un factor de reisgo para desarrollar una forma evolutiva de inicio progresivo de la enfermedad. este riesgo es mayor por la presencia simult\u00e1nea de ambos alelos \u00f3 de alguno de ellos con el alelo a de la il-10 \u00f3 el aleto t del ifny. El alelo2 del tnfalfa se asocia adem\u00e1s a un mayor \u00edndice de progresi\u00f3n de la enfermedad y especialmente en el caso de homozigosis. Respecto al estudio s\u00e9rico,los pacientes tienen menor nivel de il-10 que la poblaci\u00f3n control, y especialmente aquellos con formas progresivas primarias y progresivas secundarias. No hay diferencias entre el resto de los factores estudiados entre pacientes y poblaci\u00f3n control, aunque los niveles de icam-1 son mayores en las formas recurrentes-remitentes.
