El desarrollo de t\u00e9cnicas alternativas a la microscopia de epifluorescencia, habitualmente utilizada para su detecci\u00f3n y enumeraci\u00f3n (t\u00e9cnicas citom\u00e9tricas) nos ha permitido adaptar y poner a punto nuevas t\u00e9cnicas para realizar la concentraci\u00f3n, detecci\u00f3n y determinaci\u00f3n de la vitalidad de dichos protozoos en muestras de aguas naturales as\u00ed como, mediante el uso de las t\u00e9cnicas puestas a punto junto con el m\u00e9todo de detecci\u00f3n por pcr poder tener una primera idea de la contaminaci\u00f3n de nuestras aguas naturales y de la
