La protonaci\u00f3n del compuesto iv, tanto con h-tfpb como con hbf4, ocurre rapida y selectivamente en el ligando oxo, generando el hidroxoderivado [mo2cp2(oh) ( -pph2)2(co)]+. este se transforma a temperatura ambiente en el oxohidruro [mo2cp2( -h)(o)( -pph2)2(co)]+, proceso que ocurre a trav\u00e9s del producto de doble protonacion [mo2cp2( -h)(oh)( -pph2)2(co)]2+ y es, por tanto de naturaleza intermolecular. la especie [mo2cp2(bf4)( -pph2)2(co)]bf4 se genera a traves de un proceso de doble protonacion de iv de que implica sucesivamente la participaci\u00f3n del hidroxoderivado [mo2cp2(oh)( -pph2)2(co)]bf4 y del acuocomplejo [mo2cp2( -pph2)2(co)(oh2)][bf4]2 (no detectado). El ligando bf4 coordinado en el cation [mo2cp2(bf4)( -pph2)2(co)]+ es facilmente desplazado por una gran variedad de mol\u00e9culas, tales como simples ligados de dos electrones (l) o ligandos mono y bidentados que poseen uniones debilmente acidas e-h(e=n,o,p,s,se,cl,br,i). en el primer caso, la reacci\u00f3n conduce a la formaci\u00f3n de derivados trisustiuidos del tipo [mo2cp2( -pph2)2(co)(l)3][bf4]2, mientras que la reacci\u00f3n con ligandos monodentados conduce a las especies dicarbonilicas [mo2cp2( -pph2)2( -e)(co)2][bf4]. La reacci\u00f3n con ligandos bidentados n,o y s-dadores de tipo o-c6h4(ehn)(e\u00c2\u00bfhn), rc(e)(e\u00c2\u00bfhn), o-c5nh4(ehn)(e,e\u00c2\u00bf=o,s,n;n,n\u00c2\u00bf=0,1,2; genericamente ee\u00c2\u00bfhm, m=1,2,3), genera compuestos cati\u00f3nicos monocarbon\u00edlicos del tipo [mo2cp2)( -pph2)2(ee\u00c2\u00bfhm-1)(co)]bf4 en los que el ligando entrante se encuentra coordinado de modo quelato.
