Los ratones p53 -\/- est\u00e1n fuertemente predispuestos a la aparici\u00f3n de tumores, muriendo a consecuencia de ellos alrededor de los cinco meses de edad. Para la localizaci\u00f3n de regiones modificadoras se hace uso de una nueva herramienta gen\u00e9tica, ratones cons\u00f3micos para el cromosoma 19 de mus spretus. As\u00ed, mediante el cruce de los ratones cons\u00f3micos con ratones defientes en el gen p53, se obtienen ratones p53 -\/-, que portan regiones del cromosoma 19 de mus spretus en homocigosis y\/o heterocigosis, a los que se estudia el par\u00e1metro supervivencia. en el presente trabajo se encontr\u00f3 una regi\u00f3n de resistencia a la aparici\u00f3n de linfomas t\u00edmicos, acotada por los marcadores d19mit60 y d19mit20, de unos 10 cm, en la que los ratones p53 deficientes de genotipo heterocigoto para estos dos marcadores se comportan de manera resistente respecto a los ratones con genotipo homocigoto. En la regi\u00f3n de resistencia delimitada se localizan diversos genes previamente implicados en c\u00e1ncer. Para este trabajo de clonaron y secuenciaron los alelos mus spretus de dos de esos genes, para posteriormente centrarse en la posible implicaci\u00f3n de uno de ellos, fas, en la patolog\u00eda del
