El inter\u00e9s en construir dise\u00f1os \u00f3ptimos con estas caracter\u00edsticas surge de la necesidad de resolver un problema real procedente del \u00e1mbito medico. En particular se deseaba dise\u00f1ar un experimento para evaluar la capacidad predictiva de una prueba de ejercicio en la morbimortalidad quir\u00fargica. Las variables independientes ser\u00e1n de tres tipos: las que describen las caracter\u00edsticas f\u00edsicas del paciente (no controlables con soporte conocido), las que definen la intensidad de la prueba a realizar (controlables) y las relacionadas con la respuesta del paciente al ejercicio (no controlables con soporte desconocido).  elaboramos una teor\u00eda general para dise\u00f1os restringidos. A partir de ah\u00ed se definen los conceptos de dise\u00f1os condicionalmente restringidos y dise\u00f1os doblemente restringidos. La teor\u00eda de los dise\u00f1os condicionalmente restringidos resuelve el problema del calculo de dise\u00f1os \u00f3ptimos cuando aparecen involucradas variables controlables y variables no controlables con soporte desconocido. En este caso se supone conocida la distribuci\u00f3n de probabilidad condicional de las variables no controlables respecto de las controlables y se restringe la b\u00fasqueda del \u00f3ptimo al conjunto de dise\u00f1os cuyo dise\u00f1o condicional correspondiente coincida con dicha distribuci\u00f3n de probabilidad. Los dise\u00f1os doblemente restringidos son aquellos donde la coexistencia de variables controlables, variables no controlables con soporte conocido y variables no controlables con soporte
