Para llevar a cabo la investigacion se ha dise\u00f1ado una camara de ensayos de ultra alto vacio, que permite controlar de una forma muy precisa la composicion de la atmosfera que rodea a la muestra. Por medio de este sistema se ha analizado el comportamiento en fatiga de la citada aleacion en oxigeno, argon, vapor de agua a diferentes presiones y alto vacio. Se han estudiado muestras correspondientes a dos orientaciones del laminado (s-l y l-t) y se ha realizado un detallado estudio de las superficies de fractura ( en la orientacion l-t) en los distintos ambientes por medio de microscopia electronica de barrido. Los resultados indican que el vapor de agua es el agente responsable de la fragilizacion que experimenta esta aleacion cuando se ensaya a fatiga en atmosferas gaseosas. La velocidad de propagacion de las fisuras aumenta a medida que crece la presion de vapor de agua, y los resultados (en la orientacion l-t) se ajustan satisfactoriamente a partir de modelos
