Francisco <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En este trabajo, se ha realizado el estudio de la asociaci\u00f3n del clado mitocondrial ku y la motilidad esperm\u00e1tica.  con 142 muestras de semen y sangre de individuos pertenecientes al clado ku, se realiz\u00f3 un estudio pot pcr\/rflp, as\u00ed como por secuenciaci\u00f3n de 400 pb de la primera regi\u00f3n hipervariable (hvs i) del d-loop en el mtdna, con el prop\u00f3sito de observar la estructura del clado ku en la poblaci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola. al efectuar el c\u00e1lculo de frecuencias y construir los \u00e1rboles correspondientes, se observ\u00f3 que la estructura es similar al de otras poblaciones europeas.  por otra parte con 102 muestras de semen de pacientes atendidos en cl\u00ednicas de fertilidad, se analiz\u00f3 la asociaci\u00f3n de la variabilidad interna del clado ku y la motilidad esperm\u00e1tica, para ello se evaluaron los seminogrmas de las muestras, como son; la motilidad, la progresi\u00f3n vertical, % de vitales y la concentraci\u00f3n de espermatozoides, observandose una acumulaci\u00f3n estad\u00edsticamente significativa del subhaplogrupo u5a y la agrupaci\u00f3n ug (u1, u2, u3, u4, u6, u7 y u8) en la motilidad normal y la astenozzospermia severa respectivamente. al analizar el fenotipo bioqu\u00edmico en estas muestras de semen, consistiendo en la evaluaci\u00f3n de las actividades enzim\u00e1ticas de los complejos respiratorios, se observa un valor divergente para el cociente c iv\/cs en la agrupaci\u00f3n ug, lo que no solo est\u00e1 de acuerdo con el fenotipo de astenozzospermia severa observado, sino que apunta tambi\u00e9n a una posible afectaci\u00f3n de la espermatog\u00e9nesis.  con el prop\u00f3sito de evaluar las bases gen\u00e9ticas mitocondriales que sustentan estas asociaciones, se realiz\u00f3 la secuenciaci\u00f3n del genoma mitocondrial completo de 6 muestras de diferentes subhaplogrupos con fenotipos astenozoospermicos. no se localiz\u00f3 alguna mutaci\u00f3n asociada con la astenozzospermia, sin embargo se propone la participaci\u00f3n de mutaciones favorables (3197 y 1721) en u5a y desfavorables (1811) en ug, que corresponden<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Variabilidad gen\u00e9tica del clado mitocondrial ku y asteno-zoospermia humana<\/strong>\u00ab<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T\u00edtulo de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Variabilidad gen\u00e9tica del clado mitocondrial ku y asteno-zoospermia humana <\/li>\n<li><strong>Autor:<\/strong>\u00a0  Montiel Sosa J.
