Se estudiaron las snakin en arabidopsis, encontr\u00e1ndose 14 miembros de esta familia. Los resultados las implican en la defensa de esta planta ya que su expresi\u00f3n se ve regulada tras la infecci\u00f3n por pat\u00f3genos y son muy similares a las snakin previamente descritas en patata.  se caracteriz\u00f3 el papel en defensa del factor transcipcional erf1 en arabidopsis thaliana. Se analiz\u00f3 la resistencia de varias l\u00edneas transg\u00e9nicas que sobre-expresaban este factor, encontr\u00e1ndose que dicha sobre-expresi\u00f3n confiere una mayor resistencia de las plantas frente a pat\u00f3genos como fusarium oxysporum, botrytis cinerea, plectos-phaerella cucumerina y la bacteria erwinia carotovora, esta resistencia es mayor que la de las plantas silvestres, lo que implica al erf1 como prote\u00edna de defensa frente a estos pat\u00f3genos.  se estudi\u00f3 el papel de la prote\u00edna quinasa codificada por el gen ctr1 en arabidopsis, para ello se estudi\u00f3 la resistencia o susceptibilidad de mutantes ctr1 en los que esta prote\u00edna no es funcional, encontr\u00e1ndose que los mutantes son m\u00e1s sensibles, resepcto a las plantas silvestres, frente a los pat\u00f3genos, f.Oxysporum, p.Cucumerina y b.Cinerea, lo que implica a la prote\u00edna quinasa codificada por ctr1 en los mecanismos de defensa de arabidopsis frente a dichos
