De acuerdo con esto, la noci\u00f3n de sujeto que ha pervivido hasta hoy se ha impuesto gracias a la obra de pensadores como descartes, kant, fichte o hegel. Frente a esta perspectiva, este trabajo aspira a mostrar que el sujeto es primordialmente una noci\u00f3n de car\u00e1cter metaf\u00edsico, que m\u00e1s tarde evolucion\u00f3 hacia un sentido cr\u00edtico y epistemol\u00f3gico. Para eso se investiga en primer lugar a arist\u00f3teles, en el que esta noci\u00f3n tuvo su primer esbozo cient\u00edfico, y posteriormente a tom\u00e1s de aquino, un pensador medieval que recoge la tradici\u00f3n anterior a s\u00ed, confiri\u00e9ndole un cu\u00f1o sistem\u00e1tico. para tom\u00e1s de aquino, la noci\u00f3n de sujeto deriva en primer lugar de un sentido de la sustancia, y despu\u00e9s, seg\u00fan un uso pluriforme de la analog\u00eda, la noci\u00f3n se inserta en la materia, el compuesto, la potencia, el ser, etc., Adoptando un sentido distinto en cada uno. Tras el examen de estos sentidos, que tienen que ver con la naturaleza f\u00edsica, la tesis se pregunta si la noci\u00f3n de sujeto se puede aplicar a las sustancias simples, que arist\u00f3teles llam\u00f3 separadas, y similarmente, si este t\u00e9rmino tiene cabida en dios. por \u00faltimo, se acomete el estudio del sentido antropol\u00f3gico y personal del sujeto. Esto conecta con el problema mente-cuerpo. Se puede decir que el cuerpo es sujeto del alma, que el alma es sujeto de s\u00ed misma -que, de ese modo, es espiritual-, y tambi\u00e9n que el alma es sujeto de las potencias. entre \u00e9stas, las m\u00e1s destacadas -inteligencia y voluntad- mostrar\u00e1n la perfecci\u00f3n singular del alma que, gracias a la mente, se puede conocer a s\u00ed misma. Este conocimiento es un h\u00e1bito innato de la mente. Pues bien, a juicio del autor, una apropiada comprensi\u00f3n de este h\u00e1bito permite una dilucidaci\u00f3n penetrante y oportuna del sentido cr\u00edtico y moderno del
