{"id":17512,"date":"2018-03-09T09:05:37","date_gmt":"2018-03-09T09:05:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deberes.net\/tesis\/sin-categoria\/information-encoding-in-the-brain-from-synaptic-dynamics-to-functional-imaging\/"},"modified":"2018-03-09T09:05:37","modified_gmt":"2018-03-09T09:05:37","slug":"information-encoding-in-the-brain-from-synaptic-dynamics-to-functional-imaging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deberes.net\/tesis\/ciencias-de-la-vida\/information-encoding-in-the-brain-from-synaptic-dynamics-to-functional-imaging\/","title":{"rendered":"Information encoding in the brain: from synaptic dynamics to functional imaging"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Tesis doctoral de <strong> \u00e1ngel Nevado P\u00e9rez <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En esta tesis estudiamos 3 aspectos diferentes de la codificaci\u00f3n y transmisi\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n en el cerebro: transmisi\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n con sinapsis con depresi\u00f3n a corto plazo: interpretaci\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales de imagen funcional en t\u00e9rmino de codificaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n; estad\u00edstica de im\u00e1genes naturales y c\u00f3mo pueden afectar la forma en que el cerebro las procesa.  transmisi\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n con sinapsis con depresi\u00f3n a corto plazo  investigamos la capacidad de sinapsis con depresi\u00f3n a corto plazo para transmitir informaci\u00f3n. Estudiamos c\u00f3mo se transforman los trenes de entrada tras pasar por las sinapsis, que tipo de se\u00f1ales son mejor transmitidas y que valores de los par\u00e1metros sin\u00e1pticos optimizan la transmisi\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n. Encontramos que los efectos m\u00e1s importantes sobre el tren de entrada son la saturaci\u00f3n de la funci\u00f3n de transferencia para frecuencias altas y la reducci\u00f3n de la variabilidad del tren. Los trenes de entrada mejor transmitidos son aquellos que tienen frecuencias bajas. Adem\u00e1s estas sinapsis son ventajosas en comparaci\u00f3n con las est\u00e1ticas cuando los trenes de entrada tienen correlaciones positivas importantes y las frecuencias son bajas.  imagen funcional y codificaci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n  nos preguntamos por la validez de estimar la informaci\u00f3n codificada por diferentes \u00e1reas cerebrales con t\u00e9cnicas de imagen funcional. El hecho de que la se\u00f1al funcional sea, en el mejor de los casos, proporcional a la actividad neuronal promedio impone limitaciones a la hora de estimar la informaci\u00f3n proporcionada por la actividad conjunta de todas y cada una de las neuronas. Encontramos que la relaci\u00f3n entre cambio en la se\u00f1al e informaci\u00f3n es compleja y muy dependiente de las propiedades de respuesta de las neuronas y de la organizaci\u00f3n anat\u00f3mica de estas.
