analiza la integraci\u00f3n de las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas de red \u00f3pticas en el backbone de internet 2.  se presenta un estado del arte que describe las diferentes tecnolog\u00edas \u00f3pticas y su evoluci\u00f3n m\u00e1s probable.  se han analizado los principales problemas que plantean las diferentes generaciones de redes \u00f3pticas para el transporte eficiente de tr\u00e1fico de internet, utilizando modelos de tr\u00e1fico autosemejantes, obteniendo expresiones anal\u00edticas y validando los resultados por simulaci\u00f3n.  se ha mostrado que utilizar el ancho de banda de los canales redundantes para eliminar la necesidad de buffers en las redes de primera generaci\u00f3n sino traslada el cuello de botella al sistema receptor.  se han estudiado las arquitecturas eficientes de utilizaci\u00f3n de redes de segunda y tercera generaci\u00f3n mostrando las ventajas de los sistemas de segmento de la conexi\u00f3n y mostrando que la utilizaci\u00f3n de un backbone orientado a ficheros en la segunda generaci\u00f3n permitir\u00eda una mejora considerable de la calidad de servicio.  finalmente se ha estudiado el env\u00edo de tr\u00e1fico autosemejante sobre un sistema de conmutaci\u00f3n de rafagas obteniendo un modelo para dicho tr\u00e1fico caracterizado por distintas propiedades autosemejantes a diferentes escalas y comprobando que la autosemejanza del tr\u00e1fico de internet influye en el dimensionado de los buffers \u00f3pticos pero no sobre la probabilidad de bloqueo de los conmutadores obs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
