Por un lado, se proponen nuevas medidas escalares para resumir la variabilidad y la dependencia en datos multivariantes, con la propiedad de que pueden ser usadas para comparar vectores con distinto n\u00famero de variables aleatorias. Tambi\u00e9n se presentan dos aplicaciones de la nueva medida de dependencia multivariante desde el punto de vista inferencial: proponemos dos nuevos contrastes, uno de bondad de ajuste en modelos arma y otro para localizar estructuras no lineales en series temporales univariantes. por otro, se desarrolla un nuevo m\u00e9todo para el an\u00e1lisis de conglomerados, basado en el procedimiento sar propuesto por pe\u00f1a y tiao (2002).
