Asunci\u00f3n P\u00e9rez Pascual <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La aritm\u00e9tica on-line se utiliza en el dise\u00f1o vlsi para acelerar los procesadores digitales de la se\u00f1al. Esto es debido a que evita la propagaci\u00f3n de acarreo inherente a los sistemas que utilizan la representaci\u00f3n num\u00e9rica en complemento a dos. Por ello la frecuencia de funcionamiento de estos circuitos aumenta y, adem\u00e1s, se independiza del tama\u00f1o de palabra que se est\u00e1 procesando.  en esta tesis doctoral se ha evaluado la viabilidad del uso de la aritm\u00e9tica on-line en el dise\u00f1o con dispositivos fpga. Para ello se ha elegido como aplicaci\u00f3n la implementaci\u00f3n de procesadores fft. Concretamente se han desarrollado circuitos multiplicadores de n\u00fameros complejos que combinan la aritm\u00e9tica on-line con la aritm\u00e9tica distribuida, operadores butterfilies y arquitecturas completas de procesadores fft.  en todos los casos se ha adaptado la estructura del operador a la del dispositivo, de forma que se han obtenido circuitos con m\u00ednima profundidad de l\u00f3gica que alcanzan la m\u00e1xima velocidad que permite la tecnolog\u00eda de implementaci\u00f3n seleccionada.
