La presencia de genes de ig o tcr reordenados de forma id\u00e9ntica (clonal) y de traslocaciones cromos\u00f3micas es caracter\u00edstica de la mayor\u00eda de los slp. La detecci\u00f3n de estos marcadores puede realizarse empleando diferentes t\u00e9cnicas moleculares. las t\u00e9cnicas habituales de pcr para el estudio de clonalidad se basan en la amplificaci\u00f3n de las regiones hipervariables (cdrs) de los genes de las ig\/tcr, mediante el empleo de primeros consenso de las regiones v y j que flanquean dichas regiones hipervariables. Sin embargo, estos estudios no est\u00e1n exentos de inconvenientes. En primer lugar, se pueden obtener falsos negativos hasta en un 30% de los casos debido a la incorrecta hibridaci\u00f3n de los primers. En segundo lugar, no siempre es f\u00e1cil discriminar entre productos de pcr derivados de poblaciones celulares monoclonales y policlonales.  en este trabajo se han dise\u00f1ado y optimizado nuevas t\u00e9cnicas de pcr para la detecci\u00f3n de clonidad en slp. Con estas nuevas t\u00e9cnicas se ha conseguido detectar clonalidad en un porcentaje de casos superior al 94% con una sensibilidad del 100%. En concreto, aplic\u00e1ndola al estudio del mieloma m\u00faltiple (mm) hemos obtenido una sensibilidad del 94%. Adem\u00e1s hemos demostrado la presencia de reordenamientos incompletos djh del gen de la cadena pesada de inmunoglobulinas en el 60% de los pacientes con mm, los cuales no presentan mutaciones som\u00e1ticas en su mayor\u00eda. Este dato ha permitido dise\u00f1ar una nueva estrategia para monitorizar la enfermedad residual m\u00ednima en mm basada en la detecci\u00f3n de estos reordenamientos djh con una alta sensibilidad y
