Contar con un corpus mixto (folletos en lengua inglesa y folletos en lengua espa\u00f1ola) permite adem\u00e1s desarrollar un an\u00e1lisis contrastivo con el objetivo de comprobar hasta qu\u00e9 punto la globalizaci\u00f3n del mercado financiero europeo da cabida a las variantes culturales en el proceso de composici\u00f3n del folleto bancario.  en la tesis se estudia el proceso de persuasi\u00f3n en los folletos bancarios y como instrumento de an\u00e1lisis la macroestructura gen\u00e9rica, el an\u00e1lisis se divide en las siguientes fases: primero, a partir de la propuesta de estructura ret\u00f3rica, se lleva a cabo un estudio de la frecuencia con la que aparecen los distintos bloques; en segundo lugar, el an\u00e1lisis del orden con el que se organizan tales bloques; por \u00faltimo, teniendo en cuenta la funci\u00f3n que desempe\u00f1a cada bloque en el proceso de persuasi\u00f3n, se estudian los elementos verbales y los elementos visuales esenciales para la consecuci\u00f3n de tal funci\u00f3n.  los resultados obtenidos en el an\u00e1lisis, se comparan con los obtenidos por autores como bhatia (1993) y kathpalia (1992) en su an\u00e1lisis de otros
