Empleando el lenguaje de lagrangianos efectivos, comenzamos estudiando la mezcla de fermiones de manera independiente de modelos para aplicar los resultados a continuaci\u00f3n a modelos con dimensiones extra. La separaci\u00f3n de fermiones en las dimensiones extra, que permite una realizaci\u00f3n natural del espectro jer\u00e1rquico de quarks y leptones mediante solapamientos suprimidos de manera exponencial, requiere que la escala de compactificaci\u00f3n est\u00e9 muy por encima del alcance de colisionadores funcionando actualmente o previstos para un futuro cercano.
