Este modelo permite predecir la distribuci\u00f3n de los tama\u00f1os de gota producidas por el atomizador, desligando la geometr\u00eda del mismo de la resoluci\u00f3n del modelo de chorro atomizado.  se ha obtenido una malla computacional apropiada para la simulaci\u00f3n de chorros atomizados, que tienen una mayor resoluci\u00f3n cerca del inyector que fuera del mismo, puesto que para el caso de chorros atomizados sin flujo transversal las part\u00edculas del chorro van a estar confinadas en una posici\u00f3n muy cercana al aje de la tobera, sobre todo cerca del inyector.  se ha realizado tambi\u00e9n un estudio experimental de chorros producidos por el mismo atomizador pero en distintas condiciones con el fin de validar los resultados obtenidos num\u00e9ricamente a partir del modelo anterior. Se ha comprobado que el modelo es basatante aproximado cuando se trata de un chorro atomizado y asistido por aire pero sin flujo transversal. Sin embargo, cuando existe un flujo cruzado el modelo tiene una menor resoluci\u00f3n.  del an\u00e1lisis del modelo se ha podido comprobar como la velocidad media de las gotas est\u00e1 ligada con la posici\u00f3n de las mismas al igual que el di\u00e1metro medio de las mismas. Se ha comprobado que para una posici\u00f3n axial dada el di\u00e1metro medio de las gotas aumentan con la distancia radial posiblemente a consecuencia de que disminuye el peso relativo de las gotas
