Pero se trata de un trabajo planteado desde la disciplina urban\u00edstica, que adem\u00e1s se sirve de la perspectiva hist\u00f3rica para comprobar c\u00f3mo surgen y evolucionan los encuentros y desencuentros entre la funcionalidad y los intereses de los ferrocarriles y los planteamientos del urbanismo local, fundamentalmente en las ciudades medias espa\u00f1olas. La tesis contine un estudio de todos aquellos aspectos de los caminos de hierro con incidencia espacial en la ciudad, un an\u00e1lisis selectivo de casos representativos donde se han acometido en el pasado determinados proyectos relevantes, y un diagn\u00f3stico general del sistema ferroviario en castilla y le\u00f3n y sus ciudades para enmarcar mejor el estudio pormenorizado del ferrocarril en
