Una de estas aplicaciones es el desarrollo de c\u00e9lulas solares, debido a que el salto de energ\u00eda de estos materiales es adecuado para captar la luz solar. Sin embargo, las propiedades del sistema cristalino no tienen por que ser las mismas que las propiedades de los clusters del mismo material. Debido a ello hemos decidido estudiar las propiedades de estos clusters ii-vi en cuanto a las geometr\u00edas que caracterizan los m\u00ednimos globales y las propiedades \u00f3pticas de estas estructuras. hemos observado as\u00ed que las estructuras de clusters de tama\u00f1o peque\u00f1o son de tipo anillo, mientras que las estructuras de clusters de tama\u00f1o mayores son de tipo esferoide tridimensional.  en el caso de los clusters znioi la transici\u00f3n ocurre para i=7, y en el caso de los clusters znixi, siendo z=s, se, te, la transici\u00f3n ocurre para i=5. Por otro lado se han calculado las energ\u00edas de cohesi\u00f3n para cada sistema, teniendo en cuenta extrapolaciones te\u00f3ricas a partir de los resultados de los clusters tridimensionales. Los resultados obtenidos ofrecen un acuerdo remarcable con los datos experimentales. A partir de estas estructuras se caracterizaron las energ\u00edas de excitaci\u00f3n electr\u00f3nicas. En el caso de los clusters znioi se obtuvieron los saltos de energ\u00eda mayores, mientras que para el znitei las menores.
