Los resultados expuestos en este trabajo demuestran que las especies neisseria lactamica y moraxella catarrhalis exponen en su superficie ant\u00edgenos que muestran reactividad cruzada con cepas de neisseria meningitidis. De demostrarse que los anticuerpos inducidos por estos ant\u00edgenos tienen actividad bactericida frente a neisseria, se justificar\u00eda la hip\u00f3tesis de la contribuci\u00f3n de la colonizaci\u00f3n por n.Lactamica, y otras especies y g\u00e9neros bacterianos que compartan ant\u00edgenos comunes, en la adquisici\u00f3n y maduraci\u00f3n de inmunidad natural frente a n.Meningitidis. en contrapartida, existe la posibilidad de que una vacunaci\u00f3n masiva con formulaciones que contengan a estas prote\u00edna elimine las cepas comensales responsables, al menos en parte, de la adquisici\u00f3n de la inmunidad.
