Este trabajo se enmarca en dos \u00e1reas de investigaci\u00f3n bien establecidas desde hace m\u00e1s de vienticinco a\u00f1os y pertenecientes a dos disciplinas cient\u00edficas diferentes, aunque fuertemente emparentadas en el decurso de este mismo per\u00edodo: el \u00e1lgebra universal y la inform\u00e1tica te\u00f3rica. En concreto aporta nuevos resultados que por un lado se a\u00f1aden al estudio sistem\u00e1tico de categor\u00edas de \u00e1lgebras y por otro pueden dar lugar a nuevas herramientas \u00fatiles en el campo de la transformaci\u00f3n spo de \u00e1lgebras.  el tema central de esta tesis es la caracterizaci\u00f3n de los pares de morfismos de \u00e1lgebras que tienen pushout en diferentes categor\u00edas de \u00e1lgebras parciales y \u00e1lgebras totales para una signatura heterog\u00e9nea arbitraria. en concreto estudiamos las categor\u00edas de \u00e1lgebras parciales con morfismos los quomorfismos, los quomorfismos con dominio cerrado (de esta categor\u00eda se hace un estudio m\u00e1s profundo de sus l\u00edmites y col\u00edmites), los quomorfismos cerrados, los homomorfismos cerrados, los quomorfismos cerrados con dominio cerrado, y la categor\u00eda de \u00e1lgebras totales con morfismos los homomorfismos parciales.  en todas estas categor\u00edas encontramos condiciones necesarias y suficientes para la existencia de pushout de un par de morfismos, damos una construcci\u00f3n efectiva del mismo y comprobamos que estas condiciones son
