Con estos ligandos se han obtenido compuestos de coordinaci\u00f3n de cobre con caracter\u00edsticas estructurales adecuadas para presentar actividad biol\u00f3gica.  los complejos preparados son mim\u00e9ticos de la enzima super\u00f3xido dismutasa. su importancia se debe al inter\u00e9s que presenta el uso de complejos met\u00e1licos de bajo peso molecular en la terapia de enfermedades producidas por radicales libres. Se ensaya la actividad de los complejos por m\u00e9todos in vitro convencionales y se desarrollan un nuevo m\u00e9todo para determinar la efectividad e inocuidad de los complejos in vivo. Estos ensayos permiten determinar las caracter\u00edsticas estructurales que favorecen la actividad super\u00f3xido dismutasa y las limitaciones de los m\u00e9todos in vitro.  los complejos tienen actividad nucleasa. Esta capacidad de digerir el adn resulta de gran inter\u00e9s en el campo de la medicina y biotecnolog\u00eda por el uso potencial de complejos met\u00e1licos como agentes antitumorales. se estudia la
