Los materiales estudiados fueron \u00f3xidos mixtos de litio n\u00edquel, lixni1-xo, con alto contenido en litio (0,3&lt;x&lt;0,4) que posteriormente se modificaron con ceo2 (0,5 wt.%) Y con la2o3(0,3-0,8 wt%) con objeto de aumentar la actividad electrocatal\u00edtica y disminuir la disoluci\u00f3n de n\u00edquel. finalmente, se prepar\u00f3 un c\u00e1todo de n\u00edquel modificado con cerio que fue evaluado en monocelda en condiciones reales de operaci\u00f3n.  el comportamiento electroqu\u00edmico de los \u00f3xidos mixtos en carbonatos fundidos (li:k 63:38) a 650\u00c2\u00bac se estudi\u00f3 por espectroscop\u00eda de impedancia en funci\u00f3n del tiempo de inmersi\u00f3n (200 h) en atm\u00f3sfera corrosiva (co2:o2 4:1), y en funci\u00f3n de la presi\u00f3n parcial de ox\u00edgeno y de di\u00f3xido de carbono. los espectros de impedancia se interpretaron utilizando un modelo matem\u00e1tico basado en circuitos equivalentes. Las muestras se caracterizaron, antes y depu\u00e9s de los ensayos electroqu\u00edmicos, por icp-aes, tg, drx y sem. Adem\u00e1s, en las muestras frescas se midi\u00f3 la porosidad y conductividad electr\u00f3nica en funci\u00f3n de la temperatura y presi\u00f3n parcial de ox\u00edgeno. Los resultados obtenidos se compararon con los del nio, c\u00e1todo actual de las mcfc. En general, al presentar una estructura estable tras las primeras 100h de exposici\u00f3n, los \u00f3xidos mixtos litio n\u00edquel, lixni1-xo, podr\u00edan ser utilizados como un nuevo c\u00e1todo, siendo el contenido \u00f3ptimo de litio pr\u00f3ximo a 0,35. el ceo2 y el la2o3 mejoran la actividad electrocatal\u00edtica de los compuestos en la reacci\u00f3n de reducci\u00f3n de ox\u00edgeno y disminuyen la disoluci\u00f3n de n\u00edquel. sin embargo, el ceo2 es estable en el eut\u00e9ctico, mientras que el la2o3 se disuelve.
