Consiste b\u00e1sicamente en la separaci\u00f3n de agua y el inhibidor de la polimerizaci\u00f3n, 4-ter-butil catecol (tbc), presentes en el estireno como etapa previa en la obtenci\u00f3n del caucho sint\u00e9tico, ya que la presencia de estos compuestos dificulta y encarece dicha operaci\u00f3n.  para determinar las condiciones experimentales de trabajo, se ha tomado como referencia un proceso operativo actualmente a escala industrial en la planta de fabricaci\u00f3n de caucho sint\u00e9tico que la empresa dynasol elast\u00f3meros posee en gajano (cantabria). As\u00ed mismo, se ha empleado el estireno que esta empresa utiliza como materia prima que posee alrededor de 150 mg\/kg de agua y 15 mg\/kg de tbc.  primero se ha procedido a la determinaci\u00f3n de equilibrios de adsorci\u00f3n agua-al\u00famina y tbc-al\u00famina. A continuaci\u00f3n se ha efectuado una serie de experimentos din\u00e1micos a escala de laboratorio en los que se han obtenido resultados de la evoluci\u00f3n de la concentraci\u00f3n de cada uno de los adsorbatos en el estireno a la salida de la columna de adsorci\u00f3n en funci\u00f3n del tiempo. posteriormente se ha llevado a cabo el desarrollo del modelo matem\u00e1tico para lo que se han analizado las distintas etapas en el proceso de transferencia de materia, as\u00ed como sus consecuentes resistencias, y se han obtenido los par\u00e1metros correspondientes. El modelo matem\u00e1tico, ampliamente utilizado en la bibliograf\u00eda relacionada, incluye las resistencias a la transferencia de materia ubicadas en la pel\u00edcula l\u00edquida y en los poros. El par\u00e1metro empleado para caracterizar esta \u00faltima resistencia ha sido obtenido a partir de los datos experimentales obtenidos a escala de laboratorio mediante la optimizaci\u00f3n del
