Se ha resuelto su estructura cristalina por difractometr\u00eda de rayos x de polvo usando el refinamiento rietveld. Se determinaron las posiciones de los \u00e1tomos de hidr\u00f3geno por difracci\u00f3n de neutrones usando longitud de onda constante y trabajando en un modo de altas resoluci\u00f3n.  se ha estudiado la intercalaci\u00f3n de distintas n-alquilaminas (n=1-6) as\u00ed como las aminas c\u00edclicas: anilina, bencilamina, ciclohexilamina, piperidina y piridina en alfa-hfp y gamma-hfp utilizando aminas puras en fase l\u00edquida y vapor. Tambi\u00e9n se ha estudiado el proceso de interacalaci\u00f3n con disoluciones acuosas de amina en un amplio rango de concentraciones con el objeto de seguir el mecanismo del proceso de intercalaci\u00f3n y determinar la posible formaci\u00f3n de fases intermedias.  se caracterizaron los s\u00f3lidos de intercalaci\u00f3n obtenidos por an\u00e1lisis qu\u00edmico y t\u00e9rmico, diracci\u00f3n de rayos x y espectroscopia infrarroja. Todos los compuestos de intercalaci\u00f3n muestran una distancia interlaminar expandida. as\u00ed mismo, se obtuvieron las isotermas de intercalaci\u00f3n y las curvas de valoraci\u00f3n y, en aquellos casos en los que la intercalaci\u00f3n se llev\u00f3 a cabo utilizando disoluciones acuosas de aminas, se obtuvieron las curvas de hidr\u00f3lisis y los correspondientes diagramas de
