Para ello se implementa un elemento barra no lineal geom\u00e9tricamente exacto (v\u00e1lido para grandes desplazamientos y rotaciones) y se considera que el material acero puede describirse mediante el modelo de saint-kirchhoff (material hiperel\u00e1stico, is\u00f3tropo y homog\u00e9neo de saint venat-kirchhoff). La formulaci\u00f3n parte del funcional de hellinger-reissner del problema elastost\u00e1tico de un medio continuo general sometido a fuerzas por unidad de volumen de referencia y a fuerzas por unidad de superficie de referencia. Dicha formulaci\u00f3n incorpora el alabeo, la deformaci\u00f3n por cortante, por torsi\u00f3n-alabeo e imperfecciones geom\u00e9tricas de tipo excentricidad de la carga y flecha inicial de la barra.  la estacionariedad del funcional considerado junto con las condiciones de contorno adecuadas permiten obtener las ecuaciones diferenciales de equilibrio el\u00e1stico. \u00e9Stas, puestas en su forma integral, permiten su resoluci\u00f3n mediante el m\u00e9todo de bubnov-galerkin modificado. As\u00ed se llega a una forma matricial que permite obtener la carga cr\u00edtica de pandeo mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n de un criterio de estabilidad o de un criterio del estado cr\u00edtico.  a partir de la carga cr\u00edtica obtenida anteriormente, junto con las caracter\u00edticas geom\u00e9tricas de la secci\u00f3n y las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas del material, se determina la capacidad de soporte del cord\u00f3n superior utilizando una generalizaci\u00f3n del euroc\u00f3digo 3 para piezas comprendidas y flectadas de clase 1 a 4. De aqu\u00ed, y considerando los coeficientes parciales de seguridad de las acciones, se calcula la carga de servicio de comprensi\u00f3n.  asimismo se desarrolla un programa de ordenador denominado
