Esta teor\u00eda se aplic\u00f3 a la formaci\u00f3n de ves\u00edculas lip\u00eddicas de simetr\u00eda esf\u00e9rica. La presente tesis generaliza los resultados obtenidos para la esfera a liposomas de formas geom\u00e9tricas arbitrarias. Para ello se redefini\u00f3 la bicapa desde un punto de vista geom\u00e9trico mediante una transformaci\u00f3n paralela tanto para el caso de ves\u00edculas unilamelares como multilamelares. La aplicaci\u00f3n del m\u00e9todo de las variaciones normales dio como resultado las ecuaciones de euler-lagrange de las ves\u00edculas. Adem\u00e1s se encontr\u00f3 que el car\u00e1cter de las soluciones ven\u00eda determinado por la funci\u00f3n caracter\u00edstica de euler-poincar\u00e9, un invariante topol\u00f3gico. Los resultados te\u00f3ricos se aplicaron a los fosfol\u00edpidos dilauril-, dimiristoil-, dipalmitoil- y diestfaroil-fosfatidil colina obteni\u00e9ndose un excelente acuerdo con los resultados
