Con el fin de hacer esta tecnolog\u00eda econ\u00f3micamente competitiva es vital conseguir que un n\u00famero elevado de transductores, de bajo coste potencial, comportan equipos terminales costosos. A lo largo de este trabajo se presentan diversas redes de sensores fot\u00f3nicos con multiplexaci\u00f3n en longitud de onda, cuyo objetivo es soportar un gran n\u00famero de sensores, solventando las limitaciones impuestas por par\u00e1metros tales como la diafon\u00eda entre sensores, las p\u00e9rdidas de potencia en la estructura de distribuci\u00f3n y la degradaci\u00f3n de calidad de las se\u00f1ales detectadas. Para ello se han seguido varias l\u00edneas de actuaci\u00f3n, incluyendo redes tanto pasivas como activas, as\u00ed como sistemas l\u00e1ser, y redes con referenciaci\u00f3n de potencia. en el campo de las redes pasivas, se han propuesto y demostrado sistemas con estructura de distribuci\u00f3n de bajas p\u00e9rdidas mediante el uso de multiplexores de fibra fusionada, que permiten mejorar el balance de potencia de las redes obtenidas. En cuanto a las redes activas, se han desarrollado topolog\u00edas en bus con amplificaci\u00f3n \u00f3ptica distribuida, que mejoran el balance de potencias y consiguen una buena ecualizaci\u00f3n de la potencia de los distintos sensores. Tambi\u00e9n se demuestran las ventajas de la utilizaci\u00f3n de fuentes l\u00e1ser con emisi\u00f3n en m\u00faltiples longitudes de onda a la hora de mejorar la potencia en las redes de multiplexaci\u00f3n de sensores, a la par que se recorta el coste asociado a fuentes l\u00e1ser sintonizables o a varios l\u00e1seres fijos.
