Una caracter\u00edstica sobresaliente de la presente memoria es su car\u00e1cter, tanto te\u00f3rico como experimental, aspectos que se complementan excelentemente proporcionando profundidad y solidez a los resultados obtenidos.  uno de los temas principales es la din\u00e1mica de red de cristales semiconductores de compuestos i-vi, tanto en condiciones normales como bajo altas presiones hidrost\u00e1ticas y el empleo del monitoreo de los modos de vibraci\u00f3n medidos mediante la t\u00e9cnica de espectroscop\u00eda raman para caracterizar las diferentes transiciones de fase estructurales que tienen lugar al aplicar altas presiones en el rango de decenas de gigapascales. Se puede citar como ejemplo el descubrimiento de una fase metaestable en zwte cuyo ranto de existencia se encuentra entre 12.2 y 13.7 gpa.  otro resultado importante concierne el estudio de znte\/gaas y, en particular, la determinaci\u00f3n de los efectos de las tensiones uniaxiales imperantes en la capa de znte sobre los estados excit\u00f3nicos y los modos de vibraci\u00f3n en la misma.  por \u00fatlimo, se puede destacar el estudio de aleacciones de zncdse y la observaci\u00f3n de un modo intermedio entre los funones lo y to.
