El trabajo sistematiza el conjunto de me\u00c2\u00bftodos de optimizaci\u00f3n heur\u00edstica y establece el estado de la t\u00e9cnica en relaci\u00f3n con los procedimientos empleados en la resoluci\u00f3n del problema vrptw y sus extensiones. Tras constatar ciertas discrepancias entre los modelos te\u00f3ricos y los casos reales, la tesis define una funci\u00f3n objetivo que mide la rentabilidad econ\u00f3mica de las operaciones, y flexibiliza los horarios de entrega con penalizaciones que reflejen la insatisfacci\u00f3n de los clientes. Asimismo se contempla la posibilidad de contar con flotas heterog\u00e9neas de veh\u00edculos con costes fijos y variables diferenciados, as\u00ed como capacidad de carga, velocidad y jornadas laborales distintas, y con la posibilidad del uso m\u00faltiple. Se incorpora la asimetr\u00eda en la duraci\u00f3n de los viajes, con tiempos de aproximaci\u00f3n y de alejamiento que modulen el nivel de congesti\u00f3n por tr\u00e1fico y otras dificultades de acceso. Tambi\u00e9n es posible el ajuste de diferentes costes horarios en funci\u00f3n de las horas extraordinarias y penalizaciones con ruptura en la llegada al dep\u00f3sito.  la tesis presenta una novedosa heur\u00edstica de construcci\u00f3n secuencial de rutas basada en criterios econ\u00f3micos (hesecor) capaz de resolver el modelo propuesto y que, en el caso del problema vrptw b\u00e1sico, ha llegado en algunos casos a alcanzar la mejor soluci\u00f3n publicada. Tambi\u00e9n se han presentado un conjunto de metaheur\u00edstica basadas en la b\u00fasqueda secuencial por entornos. Del an\u00e1lisis del comportamiento de dichas t\u00e9cnicas a los problemas b\u00e1sicos y generalizados presentados, se aportan conclusiones de inter\u00e9s
