La regi\u00f3n gen\u00f3mica correspondiente con el promotor trl fue obtenida y una visi\u00f3n m\u00ednima del promotor trl fue definido utilizando transfecciones transitorias en c\u00e9lulas sa. Mediante an\u00e1lisis de footprinting con dnasai de esta regi\u00f3n localizamos m\u00faltiples lugares de uni\u00f3n para gaga sugiriendo un papel regulatorio potencial para gaga sobre su propio promotor. El estudio demostr\u00f3 que gaga regula negativamente su promotor. Esta represi\u00f3n es dependiente de la uni\u00f3n gaga al dna. Un fragmento de 400 pares de bases del promtor del trl es capaz de mediar represi\u00f3n en un promotor heter\u00f3logo.
