Las especies elegidas fueron: a.Persimilis, a.Partenogen\u00e9tica, a.Salina y a.Franciscana. Para poner de manifiesto la variabilidad fenot\u00edpica de la respuesta letal a la exposici\u00f3n a cadmio que presentan los nauplios de las poblaciones estudiadas se determin\u00f3 la sensibilidad de los nauplios de las mismas a la toxicidad del cadmio, a trav\u00e9s de las curvas de mortalidad. se analiz\u00f3 estad\u00edsticamente la uniformidad de dicha respuesta dentro de cada poblaci\u00f3n y se compararon de una forma cuantitativa los aspectos mencionados de las distintas poblaciones mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de modelos lineales generalizados. El estudio comparado del proceso de acumulaci\u00f3n de cadmio en adultos de las poblaciones se llev\u00f3 a cabo mediante el contrate de las curvas de acumulaci\u00f3n-eliminaci\u00f3n obtenidas mediante el ajuste a un modelo t\u00f3xico-cin\u00e9tico bicompartimental y el an\u00e1lisis de los par\u00e1metros que los definen. Se determinaron los niveles de metalotione\u00edna en individuos adultos y se estudi\u00f3 su incremento ante la exposici\u00f3n a cadmio, as\u00ed como la influencia de la poblaci\u00f3n y del sexo en los niveles de dicha prote\u00edna. Las poblaciones de artemia estudiadas han mostrado variabilidad fenot\u00edpica inter e inr5aespec\u00edfica para todos los aspectos estudiados, destacando el peculiar comportamiento de a.Persimilis. Estos resultados dan idea de la importancia del mantenimiento de la biodiversidad dentro del g\u00e9nero, ya que asegura un mayor rango en las respuestas ante un posible agente estresante, como es el
