La s\u00edntesis de zeolitas se realiz\u00f3 utilizando dos procesos diferentes:  a,- extracci\u00f3n de si de la ceniza volante y la subsiguiente s\u00edntesis de zeolita pura mediante la combinaci\u00f3n del extracto resultante con una soluci\u00f3n rica en al.  b,- mediante la zeolitizaci\u00f3n de la ceniza volante por conversi\u00f3n directa.  este estudio se ha realizado con 23 cenizas volantes de diferentes centrales el\u00e9ctricas europeas, con sio2 y al2o3 como componentes mayoritarios.  a partir los extractos de s\u00edlice (de las cenizas volantes de meirama y puertollano) y una agua residual de anodizado de aluminio (alumet) se sintetizaron materiales zeol\u00edticos de los tipos a y x con elevada pureza (97-100%), tal y como se deduce de sus altas cic (4.7-5.3 meq\/g, equivalente a la de los productos comerciales). Si sobre los extractos de s\u00edlice obtenidos (entre 210 y 405 g de s\u00edlice\/kg ceniza) se aplica este rendimiento de s\u00edntesis, se obtiene un rendimiento final de entre un 611 y 1200 g de zeolita a-x\/kg de ceniza volante.  los resultantes experimentales de extracci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n mostraron que los par\u00e1metros que favorecen la extracci\u00f3n de si de las cenizas originales on:  a,- alto contenido de si.  b,- alta proporci\u00f3n de sio2 en la matriza v\u00edtrea y en otras fases altamente solubles, como s\u00edlice opalina.  c,- una relaci\u00f3n sio2\/al2o3 alta.  as\u00ed mismo, se muestra que la selecci\u00f3n de una ceniza volante apropiada para la zeolitizaci\u00f3n por conversaci\u00f3n directa viene determinada por los siguientes criterios.  a,- alto contenido de al2o3 y sio2.  b,- alto contenido en matriz y v\u00edtrea.  c,- una relaci\u00f3n sio2\/al2io3 baja.  por ello, se seleccion\u00f3 una ceniza (narcea) que cumpliera ampliamente estos
