En concreto, se centra en cuestiones acerca del tipo conforme de esta familia de superficies. los dos resultados principales de la memoria afirman la existencia de sendos ejemplos de superficies minimales completas con tipo conforme hiperb\u00f3lico, que poseen ciertas cualidades especiales.  la primera de ellas constituye el primer ejemplo conocido de superficie minimal completa inmersa en una bola del espacio eucl\u00eddeo, con topolog\u00eda no trivial, (la superficie es homeomorfa a una corona plana). El segundo ejemplo es un contraejemplo de una conjetura debida a sullivan y meeks, que afirmaba la no existencia de superficies minimales de g\u00e9nero finito y propiamente inmersas, que tuviesen
