Este campo de heli\u00f3statos aut\u00f3nomos consigue importantes ventajas que se derivan de la ausencia de cableados y canalizaciones, la alimentaci\u00f3n fotovoltaica, y las comunicaciones v\u00eda radio con la unidad de control central, que aumentan la fiabilidad y posibilitan la operaci\u00f3n a distancia. Para la construcci\u00f3n de este prototipo ha sido necesario dise\u00f1ar y verificar una serie de subsistemas de aplicaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica, como son los reguladores\/controladores de los motores de azimut-elevaci\u00f3n, el regulador de carga del panel fotovoltaico, rel\u00e9 de estado s\u00f3lido de potencia y detector de bater\u00eda baja, una radiomodem de prop\u00f3sito espec\u00edfico, as\u00ed como el software de bajo nivel para comunicaciones inal\u00e1mbricas. Tambi\u00e9n ha sido necesario el establecimiento de una topolog\u00eda y protocolos para el campo de heli\u00f3statos aut\u00f3nomos.  para los reguladores dc\/dc requeridos para el control de los motores, se ha preferido una configuraci\u00f3n \u00abbootstrap\u00bb con semipuente de mosfets. el regulador del panel fotovoltaico se base en un convertidor dc\/dc positivo, basado en control pwm. Para el rel\u00e9 de potencia e indicador de bater\u00eda baja se ha construido un circuito basado en dispositivos pwmos. El modem dise\u00f1ado est\u00e1 controlado por microcontrolador, incorpora detecci\u00f3n y correcci\u00f3n de errores, controla autom\u00e1ticamente el transceptor de radio, permite longitud variable de paquetes de informaci\u00f3n, y dispone de doble bloqueo de canal de radio frente a aver\u00eda. Adem\u00e1s, permite filtrar tramas ajenas al heli\u00f3stato e incorpora funciones de telechequeo y de teleconfiguraci\u00f3n del sistema. en el programa de control de este modem se ha prestado atenci\u00f3n especial a la seguridad en las comunicaciones.
