Se busca tambi\u00e9n la obtenci\u00f3n de ternarios, como el nitrocarburo de silicio y el nitrocarburo de boro, en los que la inclusi\u00f3n de un tercer elementos facilita la s\u00edntesis y estabiliza las soluciones.  se han llevado a cabo ensayos de deposici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica en fase vapor asistida por plasma de resonancia ciclotr\u00f3n de electrones (ecr-pecvd) de pel\u00edculas de nitrocarburo de silicio empleando como precursores silano, metano y nitr\u00f3geno, y arg\u00f3n como diluyente para la estabilizaci\u00f3n de los plasmas. los dep\u00f3sitos obtenidos resultaron estar compuestos mayoritariamente de nitruro de silicio subestequiom\u00e9trico con enlaces puente formados por grupos imino y nitrilo.  se ensayaron tambi\u00e9n dep\u00f3sitos empleando la misma t\u00e9cnica con metano, nitr\u00f3geno y ne\u00f3n, y se obtuvieron capas de cnx amorfas y en las que el exceso de carbono tend\u00eda a acumularese en inclusiones graf\u00edticas.  otra t\u00e9cnica experimentada es la implantaci\u00f3n i\u00f3nica. En una primera fase se implant\u00f3 nitr\u00f3geno y carbono, form\u00e1ndose una capa enterrada de nitr\u00f3geno e inclusiones de carburo que se acumulaban a los lados de \u00e9sta. si bien en este caso no se obtuvo la formaci\u00f3n de compuestos tipos sicn los resultados son aplicables a la formaci\u00f3n de estructuras \u00absilicon-on-insulator\u00bb (soi), como sustratos \u00abcompliant\u00bb, o como capas \u00abbuffer\u00bb para el crecimiento epitaxial de compuestos con un par\u00e1metro de red menor al del silicio.  por \u00faltimo, se ha experimentado con la implantaci\u00f3n de nitr\u00f3geno, carbono y boro en silicio. En estas muestras se han detectado incluisones de nitruro de boro e indicios que sugieren la posible formaci\u00f3n de ternarios.
