Hemos demostrado que tiroglobulina (tg) es un gen diana de dream y hemos estudiado su promotor para investigar el mecanismo molecular de la represi\u00f3n transcripcional ejercida por este factor. Dream se une al promotor de tg en una regi\u00f3n que se solapa con el sitio de uni\u00f3n de los dos principales activadores de la expresi\u00f3n de tg: ttf-1 y pax-8. Adem\u00e1s, dream se une simult\u00e1neamente con ttf-1 a esta regi\u00f3n e interacciona con ambos factores mediante una interacci\u00f3n prote\u00edna-prote\u00edna directa. Al analizar distintos mutantes de dream, comprobamos que el efecto represor de este factor depende de dos dominios de tipo \u00ableucine-charged domains\u00bb (lcd).  para poder identificar otros posibles genes diana de dream, generamos clones estables de la l\u00ednea frtl-5, que sobreexpresan la forma silvestre de dream o un mutante de los dominios lcd. La caracterizaci\u00f3n de estos clones nos permiti\u00f3 observar que ttf-1 y pax-8 tambi\u00e9n son genes diana de dream. Por lo tanto, proponemos un modelo de regulaci\u00f3n del promotor de tg en el que dream act\u00faa a trav\u00e9s de dos mecanismos distintos:  1,- alterando la capacidad de transactivaci\u00f3n de ttf-1 y pax-8.  2,- reprimiendo la expresi\u00f3n de ambos factores.  la actividad de dream sobre sus genes diana est\u00e1 regulada por calcio y por camp\/pka mediante dos mecanismos diferentes e independientes. Sin embargo, la v\u00eda camp\/pka, activada por la tsh, parece ser m\u00e1s relevante que la v\u00eda del calcio en el control de la regulaci\u00f3n del promotor de tg por
