Xvii al xx, de la escultura en malaga, desde una perspectiva cientifica. Es un estudio pluridisciplinar sobre la obra de arte, y aunque prima el criterio iconografico, el objeto de estudio, la escultura procesional, se analiza desde diversas perspectivas ofreciendo lecturas muy diferentes.  estructurada basicamente como un estudio de los misterios que componen el ciclo de la semana santa, el trabajo avanza desde los origenes buscando en la literatura teologica y la patristica los pasajes que condicionaron los modelos y las manipulaciones sufridas hasta llegar al momento actual. Del estudio y revision de las fuentes documentales aporta un conjunto de datos que enriquecen notablemente este campo y deshacen muchas atribuciones.  es de un gran interes la catalogacion que se ha llevado a cabo de todas las piezas que constituyen este patrimonio, catalogo que no se habia realizado hasta ahora y que supone una base importantisima para el conocimiento y conservacion de este
