Esta biograf\u00eda transcurre de forma paralela al estudio de todas sus obras, y entroncando ambos aspectos, vida y obra del escritor, con el proceso hist\u00f3rico sufrido por espa\u00f1a entre el desastre del 98 y la guerra de 1936-39 y la posguerra. todo ello en relaci\u00f3n con los movimientos literarios surgidos en ese periodo, desde el modernismo hasta el realismo en sus diversas variantes.
