Roc\u00edo Ponce Alonso <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se ha estudiado la din\u00e1mica de nutrientes en siete sistemas litorales de la pen\u00ednsula ib\u00e9rica, que tienen en su mayor\u00eda car\u00e1cter estu\u00e1rico, y la importancia de la regeneraci\u00f3n bent\u00f3nica en ellos. En estas zonas, la mineralizaci\u00f3n de la materia org\u00e1nica se produce de manera continua y la sulfatorreducci\u00f3n se presenta como un mecanismo importante de degradaci\u00f3n de la materia org\u00e1nica en el sedimento. Las fracciones m\u00e1s absolutas de p en sedimento son el p apat\u00edtico (34%) y el asociado a fe (28%). Por el contrario, las menores fracciones son el p l\u00e1bil y org\u00e1nico, lo que indica una intensa regeneraci\u00f3n de este elemento en el sedimento. El sistema del tinto y el odiel presenta altos valores de p y fe en el sedimento, hasta 23 y 85 mg-g-1 respectivamente, lo que indica la influencia de los vertidos industriales.  los flujos bent\u00f3nicos de nutrientes en los sistemas estudiados presentan un amplio intervalo de variaci\u00f3n y son elevados en comparaci\u00f3n con los de otros ecosistemas marinos. En el caso de la producci\u00f3n de amonio y la demanda bent\u00f3nica de ox\u00edgeno, parecen estar asociadas a la intensidad de la degradaci\u00f3n de la materia org\u00e1nica en el sedimento. En algunos sistemas, el sedimento act\u00faa como un sumidero de fosfato, habi\u00e9ndose determinado flujos de hasta -22.8 mmol-m-2 .D-1.  se ha constatado la existencia de importantes ritmos circadianos y gradientes verticales en la concentraci\u00f3n de nutrientes y ox\u00edgeno en la columna de agua de los sistemas m\u00e1s confinados, que se producen como consecuencia del balance entre la fotos\u00edntesis y los flujos bent\u00f3nicos de estas especies.  en los sistemas en los que se ha estudiado el transporte de nutrientes (guadalquivir, palmones, ca\u00f1o de sancti petri) se ha encontrado que intercambian por acci\u00f3n de las mareas importantes cantidades de n, p y si nutrientes con las zonas marinas pr\u00f3ximas.
