En el caso de hilos convencionales se ha investigado el proceso de imanaci\u00f3n a bajo campo magn\u00e9tico aplicado mostrando el fen\u00f3meno de la llamada biestabilidad magn\u00e9tica de enorme importancia para la utilizaci\u00f3n de este tipo de hilos en dispositivos tipo sensor (posici\u00f3n, aceler\u00f3metro, seguridad, &#8230;). Los resultados ha sido satisfactoriamente explicados en el marco del modelo inner-outer shell.  las investigaciones en microhilos con recubrimiento v\u00edtreo se han realizado en aquellos que presentan car\u00e1cter amorfo, nanocristalino y granular, realizando tanto la caracterizaci\u00f3n microestructural (para ello se han utilizado t\u00e9cnicas est\u00e1ndar como son las calorimetr\u00eda diferencia de barrido, difracci\u00f3n de rayos x y microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica de transmisi\u00f3n), as\u00ed como sus propiedades magn\u00e9ticas derivadas de la conducta hister\u00e9tica (campo coercitivo, remanencia) y de su conducta magnetostrictiva y de magnetoimpedancia gigante. Hay que resaltar que en esta segunda que en esta segunda familia de hilos magn\u00e9ticos la presencia de la capa v\u00edtrea externa introduce complejas y significativas tensiones internas sobre el
