La s\u00edntesis de estas dos mol\u00e9culas se ha llevado a cabo con el objeto de contribuir al esclarecimiento de las bases moleculares del mecanismo de activaci\u00f3n de los factores de crecimiento para fibroblastos (fgfs) por heparina-sulfato de heparano, y en particular el efecto que tienen los grupos sulfato en posici\u00f3n 2 de las unidades de \u00e1cido l-idur\u00f3nico y en posici\u00f3n 6 de las unidades de n-sulfo-d-glucosamina.  se ha llevado a cabo tambi\u00e9n un estudio de la estructura tridimensional en disoluci\u00f3n de los dos hexasac\u00e1ridos xxi y xxiii, utilizando espectroscopia de rmn y se ha investigado, usando la misma t\u00e9cnica, la interacci\u00f3n de estas mol\u00e9culas con iones calcio en virtud de su importancia fisiol\u00f3gica.  por \u00faltimo, se presentan tambi\u00e9n, resultados preliminares de los estudios de actividad biol\u00f3gica que se han realizado con los hexasac\u00e1ridos xxii y
