As\u00ed, se han obtenido veintis\u00e9is o, n &#8211; acetales derivados del 5-fu de estructura abierta y c\u00edclica, adem\u00e1s de los productos intermedios que conducen a ellos.  la informaci\u00f3n existente contiene resultados prometedores. Por un parte, los investigadores interesados en el dise\u00f1o de nuevas terapias se est\u00e1n concentrando cada vez m\u00e1s en estrategias farmacol\u00f3gicas que tengan \u00e9xito en la inducci\u00f3n de apoptosis en c\u00e9lulas cancerosas.  por otra, el control del reloj que regula el ciclo celular tambi\u00e9n figura como terapia de futuro en la lucha anticancerosa.  esta \u00faltima, inicialmente, se describi\u00f3 como una forma de programar el avance celular a trav\u00e9s del ciclo de crecimiento normal mit\u00f3tico.  sin embargo, las conexiones que parecen existir entre el ciclo celular y aparato apot\u00f3tico, implicar\u00e1 el estudio molecular a nivel de ciclinas y cdks (ciclinas dependientes de quinasas) como nuevos objetivos dentro de la terapia
