Mar Puyol Bosch <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n en el \u00e1rea de los sensores \u00f3pticos ha experimentado un gran progreso en la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada. No obstante, para conseguir un nivel de desarrollo que haga comercialmente viable el uso de sensores \u00f3pticos, es necesario obtener dispositivos fiables, robustos, de dimensiones y precio aceptables, y f\u00e1cil manipulaci\u00f3n. Estas caracter\u00edsticas determinan el grado de aplicabilidad de los sensores para el \u00e1mbito industrial, medioambiental o el biom\u00e9dico.  una adecuada explotaci\u00f3n de las posibilidades que ofrecen las t\u00e9cnicas espectrosc\u00f3picas convencionales en el dise\u00f1o de sensores \u00f3pticos pasa por aprechar los desarrollos tecnol\u00f3gicos realizados por la industria de las telecomunicaciones para la transmisi\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n por v\u00eda \u00f3ptica. Como m\u00e1s significativos podr\u00edamos destacar las estructuras de confinamiento y guiado de luz, utilizando gu\u00edas de onda tanto cil\u00edndricas como planas, y los componentes \u00f3pticos activos (emisores y detectores) miniaturizados para la zona del espectro nir. El uso de gu\u00edas de onda de configuraci\u00f3n plana permite construir dispositivos mediante las tecnolog\u00edas microelectr\u00f3nicas de fabricaci\u00f3n de circuitos integrados.  de esta forma, pueden desarrollarse dispositivos miniaturizados siguiendo procesos estandariazados de fabiraci\u00f3n, que incluyen la disposici\u00f3n de las capas de reconocimiento, lo que hace viable su fabricaci\u00f3n masiva y de bajo coste.  a pesar de que los m\u00e9todos espectrosc\u00f3picos basados en la absorbancia\/transmisi\u00f3n de radiaci\u00f3n son muy utilizados en los laboratorios de an\u00e1lisis, su traslado al dise\u00f1o de sensores \u00f3pticos presenta algunas limitaciones.  en primer lugar, si la radiaci\u00f3n atraviesa la disoluci\u00f3n de muestra, \u00e9sta puede sufrir dispersi\u00f3n o absorci\u00f3n debido a efectos de la matriz.  en segundo lugar, transmitaci\u00f3n\/absorbancia es un fen\u00f3meno \u00f3ptico cuyo escalado a nivel micro plantea problemas de sensibilidad al reducirse el camino \u00f3ptic<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Sensores \u00f3pticos integrados basados en gu\u00edas de onda<\/strong>\u00ab<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T\u00edtulo de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Sensores \u00f3pticos integrados basados en gu\u00edas de onda <\/li>\n<li><strong>Autor:<\/strong>\u00a0 M.
