La interleuquina-1 es la monoquina de mayor potencia hipercalcemiante, capaz de estimular la osteoclastosis a todos los niveles, desde los precursores tempranos a los osteoclastos maduros.  ii.        A interleuquina-6 es una monoquina con discreta o nula capacidad hipercalcemiante en vivo, que no tiene actividad sobre precursores osteocl\u00e1sticos diferenciados ni sobre os osteoclastos maduros, sin embargo, es capaz de estimular notablemente las ufc-gm.  iii.       El factor de necrosis tumoral a es una monoquina que al igual que la il-6 tiene una discreta o nula capacidad hipercalcemiante, capaz de estimular la formaci\u00f3n de precursores osteocl\u00e1sticos tard\u00edos sin incrementar el n\u00famero o la actividad de osteoclastos maduros.  iv.        La proteina asociada a la parthormona presenta mayor potencia hipercalcemiante que la il-6, il-1 y el tnf-a, con un marcado efecto activador de la osteoclastosis en estad\u00edos tard\u00edos y sobre los osteoclastos maduros.  efecto regulador de la il-6 sobre otros factores (objetivo iii)  v. La il-6 es una citoquina que potencia la hipercalcemia producida por il-1, tnf-a y la pth-rp, con un efecto aditivo sobre aqu\u00e9llas y sin\u00e9rgico sobre \u00e9sta. Este mecanismo regulador de la il-6 se relaciona con su capacidad para habilitar precursores osteocl\u00e1sticos  tempranos (ufc-gm).  vi.        La mayor disponibilidad de ufc-gm, favorece la acci\u00f3n hipercalcemiante de mol\u00e9culas que act\u00faan preferentemente en estad\u00edos tard\u00edos de la osteoclastosis, estimulando la formaci\u00f3n y activaci\u00f3n de osteoclastos maduros. El mejor ejemplo de esta complementariedad de acciones, lo representa la interacci\u00f3n entre la il-6 y la pth-rp.  efectos sist\u00e9micos asociados a il-6 (objetivo iv)  vii.
