Las modificaciones superficiales  generadas en la superficie del material dependen de los par\u00e1metros experimentales utilizados para la generaci\u00f3n del plasma, tales como fuente de excitaci\u00f3n, potencia, presi\u00f3n del gas, naturaleza del gas y tiempo de tratamiento. se han identificado las modificaciones qu\u00edmicas y f\u00edsicas generadas en la superficie de las fibras querat\u00ednicas con los tratamientos con plasma de baja temperatura atendiendo a la naturaleza del gas, potencia y tiempo de tratamiento, as\u00ed como a la fuente de exitaci\u00f3n ya sea de microondas o de radio frecuencia utilizada para la generaci\u00f3n del plasma.  por otra lado se ha estudiado como influyen dichos par\u00e1metros experimentales en las propiedades de los tejidos de lana, tales como tacto, humectaci\u00f3n, resistencia al encogimiento y al pildeo, grado de blanco y adsorci\u00f3n del biopol\u00edmero quitosano.  a fin de identificar los grupos qu\u00edmicos existentes en la nueva superficie obtenida se han utilizado las t\u00e9cnicas de an\u00e1lisis superficial de espectroscopia fotoelectr\u00f3nica de rayos-x (xps) y de infrarrojo con transformada de fourier acoplado con un accesorio vertical de reflectancia total atenuada (irtf-atr). mediante la determinaci\u00f3n del \u00e1ngulo de contacto se ha obtenido informaci\u00f3n de los grupos hidr\u00f3filos y lip\u00f3filos existentes en la superficie de las fibras. La presencia de radicales libres se ha determinado mediante la t\u00e9cnica de resonancia paramgn\u00e9tica electr\u00f3nica (rpe). Los cambios topogr\u00e1ficos producidos en la superficie de las fibras se han caracterizado mediante el microscopio electr\u00f3nico de barrido (sem) y el microscopio de fuerzas at\u00f3micas
