Se realizaron registros intracelulares y extracelulares, de neuronas cuneolemniscales (cl) y t\u00e1lamocorticales (thc) durante la estimulaci\u00f3n cut\u00e1nea en gatos anestesiados en condiciones control y en ausencia de actividad cortical.  de estos experimentos se concluye que la corteza modula el procesado de la informaci\u00f3n cut\u00e1nea que llega a las neuronas cl y thc incrementando tanto las excitaciones como las inhibiciones que se producen por la estimulaci\u00f3n cut\u00e1nea.  en la segunda parte del trabajo se estudiaron en el nc las posibles relaciones entre las neuronas cl y las interneuronales locales gaba\u00e9rgicas y glicin\u00e9rgicas, as\u00ed como los tipos de receptores glutamat\u00e9rgicos (nmda y no-nmda) a trav\u00e9s de los que act\u00faan las aferencias primarias y corticales sobre las neuronas del nc.  se registraron extracelulares neuronas cl e interneuronas del nc. Se aplicaron iontofor\u00e9ticamente sobre las neuronas agonistas y antagonistas de los principales neurotransmisores que act\u00faan a ese nivel. Los resultados obtenidos nos permiten proponer un circuito donde las excitaciones (desde el campo receptor o la corteza) est\u00e1n mediadas tanto por receptores nmda como no nmda. Las inhibiciones sobre las neuronas cl son gabaergicas y existe la posibilidad por parte de las aferencias primarias y corticales de generar desinhibiciones por medio de la disposici\u00f3n en serie
