Para ello, esta tesis ha abordado este fen\u00f3meno desde un punto de vista experimental y desde un punto de vista num\u00e9rico.  experimentalmente, se han realizado mediciones cualitativas mediante la t\u00e9cnica de visualizaci\u00f3n con burbujas de hidr\u00f3geno, y cuantitativamente mediante la t\u00e9cnica lda (anemometr\u00eda l\u00e1ser). Estos experimentos se han llevado a cabo en un montaje experimental consistente en un contenedor cilindr\u00edco que es vaciado a trav\u00e9s de un peque\u00f1o orificio en su base inferior y reinyectado en su parte superior mediante una bomba.  num\u00e9ricamente, este problema es complejo de simular y para tal fin ha sido necesario desarrollar t\u00e9cnicas espec\u00edficas para su resoluci\u00f3n como, por ejemplo, la t\u00e9cnica de la zancada, que aumenta la velocidad de simulaci\u00f3n de los c\u00f3digos, la t\u00e9cnica de derivada adaptativa, que permite discretizar las ecuaciones en mallados no uniformes y un m\u00e9todo basado en el m\u00e9todo de proyecci\u00f3n que permite imponer condiciones de contorno tipo dirichlet a la presi\u00f3n, con todas estas t\u00e9cnicas se ha desarrollado un nuevo c\u00f3digo tridimensional en variables primitivas con el que se ha realizado un estudio lineal y no lineal del fen\u00f3meno.  las conclusiones m\u00e1s importantes a las que se ha llegado en este trabajo es que experimentalemente se ha determinado un reynolds cr\u00edtico, mostrando que este fen\u00f3meno est\u00e1 relacionado con una bifurcaci\u00f3n supercr\u00edtica.
