Dicha proteina procede de un precursor de mayor tama\u00f1o: la bapp. La bapp se encuentra en la mayor parte de las celulas de los mamiferos. Su distribucion en el sistema nervioso periferico humano es, sin embargo, poco conocida. Los datos relativos a la presencia de b\/a4 fuera del cerebro son casi inexistentes.  el objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar la distribucion de ambas proteinas en el sistema nervioso periferico humano.  el estudio ha sido realizado en material quirurgico humano (nervios perifericos, ganglios raquideos, ganglios simpaticos, glandula suprarrenal, piel, musculo y tracto digestivo) mediante tecnicas inmunohistoquimicas.  detectamos inmunorreaccion (ir) para ambas proteinas en todas las porciones del sistema nervioso periferico humano estudiadas, a excepcion de las placas motrices. La ir se localiza a nivel citoplasmatico, tanto en las neuronas como en las celulas gliales. En la mayoria de los somas neuronales de los ganglios raquideos no detectamos ir para la bapp, pero si en las neuronas postganglionares de los ganglios simpaticos, en las neuronas ganglionares adrenales y en las de los plexos entericos. Con la excepcion de las celulas cromafines adrenales y las celulas enterocromafines del tubo digestivo (que solo expresan ir para la b\/a4) la ir para la bapp y b\/a4 se presentan colocalizadas. Los nervios perifericos, los corpusculos sensitivos cutaneos y las fibras musculares intrafusales tambien presentaron ir para ambas proteinas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
