Se realiz\u00f3 un estudio de taxonom\u00eda num\u00e9rica, con 64 pruebas fenot\u00edpicas y 220 cepas, que al 89% de ssm distingui\u00f3 ocho phena (i-viii), cada uno de los cuales agrupaba una \u00fanica especie o varias especies de un mismo complejo fenot\u00edpico o fenoespecie, excepto las cepas tipo de a.Salmonicida y de a.Media que no se agruparon en ning\u00fan phenon. Los phena v, vi y vii agruparon cepas aisladas de moluscos vivalvos no identificadas a nivel de especie, sugiriendo la posibilidad de que estas cepas constituyan nuevas especies del g\u00e9nero aeromonas. Por otra parte, la mayor\u00eda de las especies mostraron actividad beta-hemol\u00edtica mientras \u00fanicamente las especies a.Hydrophila, a.Bestiarum y s.Salmonicida presentaron actividad elastol\u00edtica. La presencia de especies pat\u00f3genas oportunistas de aeromonas y la detecci\u00f3n de factores de virulencia en otras especies hacen recomendable la monitorizaci\u00f3n de aeromonas en aguas (potables, recreativas y de piscifactor\u00edas) y en alimentos que, como las ostras, se consumen crudos o poco cocidos.  se aplic\u00f3 la t\u00e9cnica de electroforesis de enzimas multilocus (mlee) a 122 cepas de las especies a.Hydrophila, a.Bestiarum, a.Salmonicida, a.Popoffii y a.Trota. Tras el an\u00e1lisis de 15 enzimas, se obtuvieron 79 perfiles al\u00e9licos o tipos electrofor\u00e9ticos (ets). La diversidad gen\u00e9tica media (h) de la muestra completa fue de 0,64. Las subpoblaciones a.Hydrophila y a.Salmonicida presentaron mayor diversidad gen\u00e9tica que las subpoblaciones a.Popoffii y a.Bestiarum.
